New Plant Acclimation
- Keep in bright, indirect light
- Temperature: 20–28°C
- Avoid sudden changes in light, temperature, or humidity
- Check the substrate before watering
- Avoid repotting immediately — give the plant at least 2–3 weeks to acclimate
- If your plant comes in an acclimation cup: keep it enclosed at first, then gradually open the lid or ventilation holes over several days to slowly reduce humidity and help the plant adjust to your home environment
Begonia Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light
- Temperature: 22–25°C
- Humidity: 75–90%+ preferred
- Water: Keep the substrate slightly moist, but never soggy
- Airflow: Good airflow is important, especially in high-humidity conditions
- Light Tip: Begonias with strong blue iridescence / blue reflection usually show their best colour under lower light. Around 1,000 lux is often enough. Begonias with pink, pale, silver, or lighter-coloured leaves generally prefer slightly brighter light, around 3,000–5,000 lux, to maintain good colour and growth
- Avoid strong direct sunlight
Anthurium Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light
- Temperature: 20–28°C
- Humidity: 60–80%+
- Water: Water when the substrate begins to dry slightly
- Soil: Use a chunky, airy, well-draining mix
- Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet
Monstera Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light
- Temperature: 20–30°C
- Humidity: Around 50% or higher preferred
- Water: Let the top portion of the substrate dry before watering
- Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix
- A moss pole or other support can help encourage larger, more mature leaves
Other Plant Care
Most tropical plants prefer:
- Bright, indirect light
- Warm temperatures: 20–30°C
- Moderate to high humidity
- Good airflow
- Lightly moist, well-draining substrate
