🌿Begonia scorpiuroloba

is a rare rhizomatous species formally published in 2021, endemic to limestone karsts of southern Guangxi, China. Its signature palmately dissected, scorpion-like narrow leaf lobes stand out among all begonias. The dark green leaf surface is covered in rusty glandular hairs and develops striking metallic blue iridescence under soft shade, paired with vivid burgundy undersides and reddish petioles. Slender red flower stalks bear tiny pure white blooms in late season. A coveted collector’s plant, it demands bright indirect light, high humidity and well-drained slightly acidic substrate to display its full iridescent beauty.
